Whilst the people of Barcelona were kind and helpful - the city itself (in particular the Gothic and older districts were not). The ability to fold the scooter into a car boot is fantastically liberating. But , on the ground, drop kerbs were often too high and floors broken. The smaller scooters would benefit greatly by having pneumatic (air filled) tyres, not solid ones. That said....it was perfect for on-board the cruise vessel and we were able to explore in a way impossible without the scooter.
Plan your route carefully to make the most of the city. some very accessible places and others where it's difficult too !
Not all the streets and locations had smooth ramps
During my 5 day stay, I did not come across one pavement that was not in excellent condition and all were ramped.
