The beaches of Salou, in addition to having many of them with the Blue Flag and the Q for Tourist Quality, are characterized by having an exclusive service for people with reduced mobility, making them, therefore, fully accessible sandbanks.
The Salou City Council has been offering a special service for ten years to ensure that people with disabilities can access the beach and water safely. To do this, Llevant and Ponent beaches have adapted chairs that can be used on other beaches such as Capellans, Playa Larga, and Cala Crancs if needed. The city council is responsible for moving the equipment to these beaches.
The main beaches in Salou have an access point with services specifically designed for people with reduced mobility, including reserved parking spaces, a walkway to the wet area, adapted showers, an amphibious chair, and general information about the beaches.
The chairs have floats and wide wheels, which allow them to float properly in the water. It is mandatory to wear a life jacket and be accompanied by a lifeguard from the Salou Beach Rescue Service when using these chairs. In addition, to further ensure accessibility, the walkway at Playa de LLevant and most of the other beaches offer specific showers for disabled individuals.

Camino de Ronda
This path is a 6.5 km route that stretches along the coast from the Pilons area to the Salou Lighthouse in Cap Salou. The path is divided into two sections: the first 2 km from Pilons to Replanells is fully enabled and accessible to people with reduced mobility, while the remaining 4.5 km from Replanells to the Lighthouse is a natural path that is not fully conditioned.
As you walk along the path, you will have the opportunity to discover the local fauna and flora, as well as the various panoramic views along the way. The path passes through different beaches in Salou, offering a unique way to explore the city.
Although the path reaches a maximum elevation of 77 meters above sea level with some slightly difficult sections, most of the route is accessible for all.
Cala Morisca viewpoint
The Cala Morisca viewpoint is a great option for people with reduced mobility who want to enjoy stunning views of the Mediterranean. Located near Cala Crancs, the viewpoint has an area of 9,200 square meters and is completely free and open 24 hours a day. Salou Pedestrian Area:
The center of Salou, specifically the area around Carrer de Saragossa and Carles Buïgas, is a lively and vibrant place with little to no accessibility issues. These streets are full of shops, bars, and restaurants where you can explore and discover all sorts of local offerings. We recommend visiting in the evening, as it is a great place for a leisurely stroll or to grab a drink after a day of sun and beach.
The O mar seafood restaurant, in addition to the best fresh produce, as you can see in its own nurseries, offers a wide variety of rice dishes and seafood stews.
This restaurant is accessible to people with reduced mobility, but its bathrooms are not.
