I was very surprised that there really are almost no "curbs" in Reykjavik - very smooth sailing on the scooter!

We didn't have any issues at any of the places we visited, even the smallest cafe made room for us and were extremely helpful.

Not enough lowered pavements, it's actually really bad, I had to ask people to lift my scooter off the pavement in place, really poor planning by your government. Disabled access in the City is the worst I have experienced to date. I'm a world traveller and by far Iceland is awful for disabled people, I appreciate you need high kerbs for poor weather but I am sure there are better ways. Disabled access in venues is not great. On Culture night disabled access appeared non existent. I cancelled going when I could not park near to it. I could not view the event due to no apparent facilities being set up for disabled people. I may have missed them but it was not obvious, apologies if I am wrong.

This was our first experience using a wheelchair for more that going from the dr office to the car and the like. Reykjavik is hilly, many shops/restaurants are not wheelchair friendly with more than 3 steps at the entrance or bathrooms requiring use of stairs. Others such as Lebowski's have ramps and were helpful and welcoming!
