The curbs are very uneven, bicycles block the sidewalks.. the museums were excellent for adaptive mobility. And the Duomo. But the streets are rough to navigate because the pavement is so uneven.

The wheelchair makes our visit super amazing. We didn’t feel that we need a car anymore

It is a very old city and wasn't designed to accommodate, but they are making improvements all the time. Be aware train stations and metro may not be fully accessible so plan ahead with research!

The footpaths are in very poor condition as well as tram lines which are very difficult to cross in a wheelchair
