Having a wheelchair really helped my sister who has partial mobility and could get out of the chair when there were steps off kerbs. It would be quite difficult for somebody confined to a wheelchair.

As an ancient city, there are areas where a scooter or wheelchair just aren’t an option. Tight streets don’t allow for turns on the equipment, except perhaps a manual wheelchair. Small stores aren’t mobility-friendly. And many of the old landmarks (specifically the Alcázar) don’t have ramps all throughout to allow for a really in-depth tour. But in the more modern places, street crossings have generous curb cuts and stores and hotels have more open floor plans.

A lot of cobbles and uneven pavements

Quite tricky to navigate the city with narrow pavements and cobblestones, but manageable.
