I was very pleased with the contact from Boston Orthopedics. I had trouble finding the wheelchair at the hotel. I had to call Boston Orthopedics to find out about the drop off information. After I knew it had been dropped off, I was able to get help to find it. Boston Orthopedics followed up with a call to make sure I was able to pick up the wheelchair.

I was very pleased with the subway wheelchair access. All the conductors were very friendly and quick to come and put down the ramp for entry and exit.

Boston blends history, parks and a pleasant harborfront. With a mobility device, city centre axes are comfortable and level.

1. Is Boston accessible for people with reduced mobility?

Yes. In the main visitor areas you'll find wide pavements, curb cuts and many step‑level entries. Museums and cultural venues typically provide ramps, lifts and accessible toilets.

2. Which accessible attractions can I visit with a mobility device?

Comfortable route ideas with a wheelchair or scooter:

  • Boston Common & Public Garden: level with shaded areas.

We deliver to hotels (we can leave the equipment at reception if authorised by the property) and to homes/flats within the city. You can also request delivery and collection at different addresses within the same city.
