I had a great experience in Toulouse, other than a bit of confusion at the beginning of the trip. The local operator had been given the wrong date by Motion4Rent, so I spent a couple anxious hours trying to get in touch with them by phone and WhatsApp. Once I got in touch with them, they were super helpful, and brought me a wheelchair as quickly as they could. It was very stressful for the first hour or so, though, as I wasn't receiving any response, and wasn't sure if I was going to get the wheelchair at all. When I contacted Motion4Rent to tell them I wasn't hearing back from the local company, they gave me the contact info for the local company, and told me to contact them. Which obviously wasn't helpful. I stayed in another city after this, and also rented a wheelchair through Motion4Rent, and had the same issue with the wrong time being given to the local operator. I recommend getting directly in touch with the local contractor as early as possible to confirm the details, and to find out how they prefer to communicate. Once it all got sorted, though, everything went well! They were very helpful, and were comfortable with picking up the wheelchair the next week at the front desk of a different hotel, as I was staying at two different places over the course of the week, and was leaving on a Sunday, when they're not open. They picked it up from the hotel Monday morning with no issues.

This is a wonderfully flat city, great for getting around in by wheelchair. Some of the sidewalks are uneven and cracked, and we had to go out into the road a good number of times, but the roads all seem to get shared by bikes, pedestrians, and cars, so it felt pretty safe. The subway is technically accessible, but a very tight squeeze, so use with caution!
