Neighborhoods / Areas

Promenade:

We suggest a walk along the Marbella promenade with views of the Mediterranean and the Rif mountain range in Morocco, as well as a selection of elegant "beach bars" and restaurants where you can relax, have a drink or eat something... Either way, the walk is especially attractive to watch the world go by.

This extends from the eastern end of the city of Marbella to Puerto Banús, and in it you will find people exercising, families with children, cyclists and the curious.

The walk is 100% accessible for people in wheelchairs.

An ambitious project is now underway to unite several promenades on the Costa del Sol and form a long coastal promenade 50 km long.

Today you can follow a coastal route from the east of the port of La Bajadilla until you reach the city of Marbella, passing through the opulent villas of the famous Golden Mile and through Puerto Banús until you reach the leafy promenade of San Pedro Alcántara. In total, more than 17 kilometers has made it unnecessary to go around natural obstacles such as streams and cliffs and has opened up to the public larger areas that were previously relatively inaccessible.

As ambitious as this project may be, there are plans to incorporate it into another, much larger route along which people will be able to walk safely along almost the entire coastline of Malaga, from the Balcón de Europa in Nerja to Puerto Duquesa in Manilva: a distance of about 180 kilometers.

Entrance:  The promenade is completely free and is open 24 hours a day.

Toilets:There are no public toilets, but some bars and restaurants along the promenade have accessible toilets.

Accessibility:

Private car: You can get to the promenade by private car as there are several private car parks with reserved spaces along the entire promenade, and you can also park in the blue zone and free public car parks near the promenade.

Bus: The Alameda stop is the closest to Paseo Marítimo in Marbella. This stop is on the M-220 line and leaves you a few meters from the promenade.
