Pavements need to be more stepped for people with mobility issues.

Lisbon is a difficult city to manage in a wheelchair. It was impossible to cross the main road that runs along the river between the city and Belém. There are bridges and underpasses but none with elevators. The cobble stone surfaces make it difficult and there are many areas where the pavement is in disrepair.

Lisbon is a very old city but the wheelchair helped enormously

The tour bus company were very helpful and accommodated the wheelchair. The area around the cruise terminal was flat and wheelchair friendly as was the area around the Cathedral and nautical museum. Other areas were not as wheelchair friendly. We did enjoy our visit to Lisbon though.
